There is a perception that FoodTech is only the delivery of food or ready meals from restaurants, but it is much more global and wider. This sector of the economy consists of technology startups that develop products and services that change the traditional ways of finding, buying, delivering, preparing and consuming food.
Today, the development of technologies in the food market is aimed at introducing digital solutions into the entire food chain — from farms and food production to food preparation, storage, packaging, delivery and disposal.
Experienced players of the Ukrainian and global restaurant business are already implementing FoodTech ideas in their everyday practice. A significant part of Ukrainian public catering establishments is being transformed: it is changing its assortment, optimizing costs, entering international markets.
